Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP)
I have been working with KAP since 2017, initially at the Integrative Psychiatry Center with Dr. Will Van Der Veer pioneering the work in the state of Colorado and now currently at Amavi in Niwot, Colorado as the KAP Team Lead and supervisor.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that combines the administration of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic with rapid-acting antidepressant properties, with structured psychotherapeutic sessions. In this treatment, ketamine is used to induce a temporary non-ordinary state of consciousness, which can facilitate new insights and emotional processing during therapy. The aim of this work is to enhance the effectiveness of psychotherapy, particularly for individuals with treatment-resistant depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), by allowing them to access and address deep-seated issues more readily. The therapy involves careful dosing and monitoring by medical professionals, and it integrates traditional talk therapy and body based techniques to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
After guiding over a thousand clients through psychedelic experiences with Ketamine I have refined the protocols that maximize the structure and safety of this treatment. I am committed to constantly improving the psychotherapeutic skills and tools that most potentiate the benefits of this treatment. In this way KAP can be an even deeper catalyst to unlock the felt states of peace and love, allowing trauma in the body to be processed and released. Although KAP experiences can be incredibly difficult to describe and often strange, my commitment is to support individuals to translate those ketamine explorations into personal and grounded understandings that can turn into healthier and more fulfilling practices and habits in their day to day lives.
